Save Mary's Creek
The creek, by the numbers
What's at stake
The Walsh family has secretly proposed a change to the decades-old master transportation plan concerning Old Weatherford Road. For decades, the City of Fort Worth has decided that Old Weatherford Road will move to the north, out of the way of Walsh families, and out of sight of Mary's Ridge homeowners. Now, the Walsh family is seeking to change the transportation plan to move Old Weatherford Road to the south, building a massive four-lane wide bridge with a median directly through the middle of the Walsh Ranch greenbelt, less than 100 yards from the Mary's Ridge homes. This change, although unprecedented, has not, and will not go unnoticed. Mary's Ridge homeowners will see construction of a road intended to carry 20,000 cars a day in their front yards.
